Unit 2 Short Film
A short 3-minute film capturing my art practice as part of my Unit 2 assessment for my MA Fine Art Digital. Thoroughly enjoyed creating this but very hard to capture everything I wanted to in just 3 minutes!
Music & Lyrics
Much of my work is very multi-disciplinary. I love to experiment with different mediums, but for a long time this felt somewhat disconnected. It’s only relatively recently that I see the profound connections between all of my work - from my love of painting to my obsession with music, poetry and nature.
Nothing About Us Without Us
Yesterday I took a trip to Manchester to visit the People’s History Museum. I have been looking forward to visiting for some time, as it is very relevant to my interests and work in activism and background in sociology and history. My first stop was the temporary exhibition on the ground floor ‘Nothing about us without us’. I was struck firstly by the exhibition poster created by Dolly Sen (2012), depicting a charity collection can - it is wounding to see such imagery, so simple yet effective.

In perfect Sara style, I prepared my reference images on Miro, along with a few question prompts, and felt ready to share my journey with the world.
