Functional Fibres Pt.2

Since I first posted about my experiment with natural materials, I made several more and decided to test the market! Over Christmas, I posted some on an online marketplace, and received some really positive feedback, and custom orders. I also made some as Christmas gifts, with equally encouraging feedback.

As the New Year approached, I decided to submit my idea for these functional stationery products to UAL’s Not Just A Shop, with the hope of securing some valuable support in getting these products out into the world, whilst generating some well needed income.

I was absolutely delighted to receive a message in my inbox, informing me that I had reached the next stage, and asked to send some samples down to the shop in London! I created a prototype belly band, settling on D’ART NATURAL (Dobson Art), deliberately using natural kraft paper to reflect the brand, and sent them off. I am absolutely thrilled, and await the outcome…
