Another attempt at developing the Loughrigg image, ended with similar results.

Through a process of elimination, I tried to go through all the elements and work out what was causing the problem. I couldn’t imagine a problem with the UV lamp, but decided to expose another image using the traditional method of just the sunlight.

During the developing stage in the water, the image seemed to hold firm. After allowing it to dry, it is a stark contrast to the underexposed images from the UV lamp.
I must say, I’m really surprised at this but will investigate further – maybe I will need a more powerful lamp, I’m not sure.
The resulting image is rather over-exposed but will require bleaching ideally in order to tone anyway, so it makes a good practice print. I’m just relieved I finally got some results!
