Reflecting on Study Statement 1.0 Submission

Well, I have now completed and published my Study Statement for Unit 1 of my MA. I felt compelled to write a reflective piece following this, as there were many thoughts and feelings that passed whilst completing it, which I felt were rather significant and that it would be valuable for me to record.

Writing the statement was initially a very linear process; taking the sub-headings and completing the relevent sections. As I went along however, I felt a constant urge to change, adjust, adapt or add to. This process of collating all of my research, ideas and theories into a coherent document, was not only therapeutic and useful, but also gave me a stronger sense of direction, and reaffirmed my own confidence in my work.

I was constantly fighting the urge to keep tinkering and amending; something I will surely do as time progresses, but rather than changing 1.0, I plan to create several versions with relevant updates and changes, which allow me to review and see the progress in my journey. I think this will be incredibly valuable, and I look forward to seeing how this evolves.
